Album of the year

At this point, I'm confident to say, that this is my favorite album of 2007. I've listened to her previous studio album "Let It Die", and it wasn't really great, except for two songs, which were incredible - "Inside and Out", and "Mushaboom". That's why I've decided to give a try to her current hit album (which is #2 in Canada btw), and after listening to it every once in a while, I suddenly discovered it's beauty while working late one day in august. Since then, it became one of the most listened albums in my iTunes.
You can find much more about Feist on her Wikipedia entry.
Listen to it, and if you're gonna feel it, give me a call :)

Been to NYC again.
And this time it was even more AMAZING than last year. If you want to see the videos, you're welcome to visit this link.
This is the company that me and Lucy enjoyed while staying there. They are the best guys, and I miss them so much :(

So my next plan is to move there for a while in 2008. We'll see how that goes.

This is my first vlog video. I got a new digital camera, and had to try it on my way from work.

The Long Blondes
This is the freshest sound I've heard in the last few months. British indie band The Long Blondes knows how to do it, and Kate Jackson, the singer has a great voice and very interesting singing technique. Album "Someone To Drive You Home" is worth listening to, and "Once And Never Again" is the best song on it.

New York City
Ever since I was a child, I was impressed with the enormous cities, and NYC was one of my favorites. It is the largest city in the United States and one of the world's major global cities.
It's metropolitan area has a population of 18.7 million and is one of the largest urban areas in the world. Popularly is known as the "Big Apple" or the "Capital of the World".
Manhattan with a population of over 1,600.000 residents is the business center of the city, and the most superlatively urban of the boroughs. It is the most densely populated, and the home of most of the city's skyscrapers. The highest of them is Empire State Building (381 m), but until 2001 the highest were World trade center Twin towers with height of 415 meters. We all know what happened to them.
New WTC will be completed in 2011, and the main tower will be 541 meters tall. The latest render of the tower is pictured on the left. The main reason why I've decided to write about Big Apple is that I bought a plane ticket to go there in September. I will go alone, because my cousin cancelled, but I'm sure I'll still have a lot of fun. If someone has any idea what I should go see there, let me know. I'm planning to go to Fire Island for a day, I also want to visit all boroughs for at least a day (Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island) and New Jersey. Most of the time of course I'm planning to be on Manhattan. I will probably just walk on the streets looking up, admiring the enormous size of skyscrapers:) I hope I'll get a hostel somewhere in Greenwich Village, that I could discover gay culture over there, also want to see some of the museums, want to party a few nights, and just simply be fabulous:) I'll let you know how it will be.
Read and see more about NYC here.
P.S.: So I really went there in september 2006. Here you can read more about my NYC experience, it's in Slovenian language.17 June, 2006
Madonna - Get Together
This is Madonna's new video for single Get Together (Track two on album Confessions On A Dancefloor). I liked Hung Up, Sorry didn't really tickled me, but for this one now I think it's the best. It's urban, arty, and overall beautiful. Something new for Madonna. Can't wait to see it on TV. So what do you think?

iPod nano
I've been using Apple's iPod nano for quite a few months now, and I think it's time for a quick review. First of all - this is the best gadget I've ever had. I've had Olympus m:robe 500 mp3 player before and I hated it. It had this great color touchscreen, photo camera, and 30GB disc, but it was SO buggy, and it took you forever to find any specific song due to its ugly, and unintiutive interface. iPod on the other hand is incredibly easy to handle, to search songs, it's ridiculously small and light, and is very beautiful. Let's count pluses and minuses:

Dani California
Have you heard the Red Hot Chilly Peppers new single yet? It is titled Dani California, and has this amazing powerful Rock energy, mixed with catchy melody. I'm in love with this song. And the video is also great, it is like a chronological evolution of rock music. As if by design, a flurry of discussion and debate ensued on the Web, about exactly who is caricatured and whether certain segments are composites. There have been no official statement by the band about the correct artists in the video. There has been a great deal of debate on the Internet about which bands exactly are portrayed, leading to a large amount of speculation. I like the scene where Anthony wears womans make up, it makes him so gay, and not every guy would have a courage to do so. And they also have a myspace profile, and 120.000 friends, haha:) You can listen to this song or watch video on that link. And don't you think, the cover is great too?

Brokeback Mountain
I really loved this movie. It is one of the best movies I've ever seen, maybe even the best, since I can't decide if it's better than American Beauty which is currently on top of my little personal movie chart in my head:) I'm a bit sad that it didn't got more Oscars, but it's ok, because I also watched Crash, which was awarded with Oscar for the best Movie, and is also incredible. For me Heath Ledger is the only bad part of the Brokeback Mountain. I mean he is a great actor, he really does a great job in BB Mountain, but somehow I feel that he is also homophobic, you know, he came to Oscars with his girlfriend, and show her everywhere, like he wanted to show everyone that he is straight. And in his next movie he played Cassanova, so it's not hard to figure, that he's not really comfortable with the label "Actor who played a gay cowboy". And also I don't like the way his caracter acts in the movie.
I like Jake Gylenhaal on the other hand. First of all, he is incredibly cute!!! He came to Oscars alone, and he obviously don't have a problem with this movie. He even said that they kissed so much with Heath, that it was just like kissing a girl at the end. Ooooh, how cute is this:) So I will do this little gallery of Jake's photos here for you ladies to enjoy. Here we go:

Macaulay Culkin
I never paid a lot of attention to him, until I saw him on the cover of some French magazine a few years ago. I tried to find this photos on the internet, but I couldn't for years. Then about a year ago, I was on this page gay.tv, browsing The Boy / The Girl category, and I found them. They are posted below. Then I started to explore about him, I wanted to know if he is still making movies. He retired from acting when he was like 13 years or so, but now, more that 10 years after, he continued to act in some movies, although there are very few of them. He made his comeback with crazy gay movie called Party Monster. I don't think he is much of an actor, but I really like his looks:). He also starred in the movie Saved with Mandy Moore. Hope to see more of his movies soon.
